1-day Ningen Dock — basic course
Ehime Kouseiren Health Check-up Center (JA愛媛厚生連健診センター), Matsuyama · One weekday, about 7 hours: reception 7:45–8:30, tests until late morning, lunch at the center, doctor's explanation from 13:00, finished around 15:00
Price covers the basic course with the barium X-ray stomach exam, lunch at the center and your Dokumo interpreter for the day. Upper endoscopy and every other screening below are optional add-ons.

受診前の準備
- Nothing to eat from 21:00 the night before; on the morning only plain water, and none in the last 2 hours before reception
- No alcohol the day before; avoid a heavy or fatty dinner
- Keep taking prescribed medicines unless we tell you otherwise — bring the list; diabetes medicines/insulin and blood thinners must be reported to us before the trip
- Blood pressure medicine may be taken in the morning with a small amount of water (we confirm with the center)
- Wear easy clothing without metal (zips, underwire) for the CT and ECG; remove contact lenses for the eye tests if asked
- Bring your passport, the reservation confirmation, your medication list, previous test results, and notes on surgeries, allergies and family history
- The stool test kit is given to you in advance — collect samples on two separate days before the check-up
ご予約前にお知らせください
- If you are or may be pregnant: no X-ray, CT or barium — tell us and we rebuild the course around it
- Pacemaker, defibrillator or metal implants: no MRI options; tell us before booking
- Blood thinners: an endoscopy biopsy may not be possible — tell us in advance
- Recent stomach or bowel surgery, swallowing difficulty, or previous barium reaction: choose the endoscopy upgrade instead of the barium X-ray
- Acute illness or fever on the day: the center may postpone the check-up
英語サポート
- A Dokumo interpreter is with you from reception to the doctor's explanation — the center's staff speak Japanese
- The pre-visit health questionnaire is completed in English with your designer before you fly
- Consent forms for the barium/endoscopy exams are explained to you in English before you sign
- The doctor's same-day explanation (from 13:00) is interpreted live
検査結果
- Same-day: the doctor explains the results available by the afternoon (interpreted); imaging that needs reading comes later
- About 3–4 weeks later: the center's official written report in Japanese; Dokumo delivers an English translation as PDF with the printed units and reference ranges so your own doctor can read it
- Japanese report codes are explained: 異常なし = no abnormality · 要経過観察 = follow-up · 要再検査 = repeat test · 要精密検査 = detailed exam needed · 要治療 = treatment recommended
- A check-up is screening, not diagnosis. If something needs follow-up, we can arrange a referral in Japan (e.g. Ehime University Hospital) or you take the report to your US doctor

キャンセル・変更
- Change or cancel the check-up date free of charge up to 7 days before; inside 7 days the center's fee applies (confirmed on your booking)
- Optional screenings can be added up to 14 days before the check-up (PET requires a phone reservation by us — 21 days)
- Hotel and transfers follow the trip's standard cancellation terms

- Your results belong to you and are held by the center under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information — not under HIPAA
- Dokumo receives your report only with your written consent, uses it only to translate and deliver it, and deletes our copy when you ask

パスポートと入国
米国市民は最長90日間、ビザなしで日本に滞在できます。パスポートは滞在期間中有効であれば十分です。出発前にVisit Japan Webに登録しておくと、紙の書類を省けます。
空港到着
米国からの便の多くは羽田（都心に近い）または成田（約60〜90分）に着陸します。旅にはプライベート送迎が含まれており、ドライバーがネームボードを持って到着ロビーでお迎えします。
eSIMと通信
データ無制限のeSIMが旅に含まれています。出発前にQRコードをお送りしますので、着陸したら有効化してください。ゲートを出る前からオンラインです。
移動手段
東京の鉄道は世界最高で、Googleマップが完璧に案内してくれます。電車は深夜0時ごろに終了。タクシーは清潔で安全、カードも使えます。
ICカード（Suica）
タッチ決済のカード1枚で、すべての電車、バス、自動販売機、コンビニをカバーします。チャージ済みのカードをお渡しするか、出発前にApple WalletにSuicaを追加しておくこともできます。
現金とカード
今ではほとんどの場所でカードが使えますが、小さな居酒屋や神社は現金のみです。セブンイレブンのATMは米国のカードに対応しています。最初はひとり1〜2万円の現金があれば十分です。
チップのマナー
チップは不要です。どこでも、いつでも。渡さなくても失礼ではなく、むしろ無理に渡すほうが失礼にあたります。行き届いたサービスが標準で、すでに料金に含まれています。
レストランのマナー
席に案内されるまで待ち、店員を呼ぶときは「すみません」と声をかけ、麺をすするのは問題ありません。小さな店の多くは8〜10席。それが魅力であって、格下ではありません。
手荷物の配送
日本の宅急便なら、スーツケースをホテルからホテルへ（または空港へ）約15ドルで翌日配送できます。デイバッグひとつで移動し、荷物には先回りしてもらいましょう。
